How to hug a toddler…
When every muscle and every joint in your body is aching, one of the hardest things to do is hold a toddler. Especially little boys. My son doesn’t hurt me on purpose but he does inflict pain. Ever since he was really little he has enjoyed bouncing on my lamp, stomach, chest, shoulders basically whatever part of my body that he is sitting on at the moment. Which wasn’t an issue when he was smaller because he was kind of skinny for his age. Well, now he is almost two and weighs a whopping 28 pounds and now when he does it, it hurts. So really how do you hug a toddler when every part of you hurts? the answer is: very carefully.
