Since we moved in and our stuff got here Quinlyn has been using an air mattress for a bed because her old bed was way to old to keep anymore when we got packed up. I have been trying to get her a mattress all this time but either they were WAY too expensive or left something to be desired. Finally on Tuesday I found one and went to pick it up because I couldn’t stand her using the air mattress one minute longer. While I was carrying it out to the car I tripped and twisted my ankle on the stairs. Now I have a swollen and sore ankle and even walking down stairs to take Cody out is a challenge.
Why do I tell you all this? Well, these events caused me to make a decision. In order for my ankle to heal properly I need to rest it for a week or two. So as much as I don’t want to I have to put my workout plan on hold until I can stand without cringing. This is the last thing that I wanted to do but I don’t see how I have any other choice. So, in a week or two I am going to start over from scratch. During this time I am going to be working on diet changes to hopefully help the weight loss even more. I’m hoping that it will make it easier on me when I get started up again.
Don’t get me wrong I am in no way defeated by this turn of events but I realize that I have to pay attention to what my body is telling me and right now my ankle is screaming “STOP IT YOU &*%?#!” You have all been incredibly supportive and I thank you for that. I hope you will keep following my progress once I get back into things. I will also continue to post during my recovery to let everyone know how I am doing and how the diet changes are going. For me this is a sad day because this is the last thing I wanted to do but like Kenny Rogers says “You gotta know when to fold ‘em”.Catch y’all later
