I go through the same thing with Ty that you go through with Quinlyn. Like you, I have chosen not to medicate him because I fear what it will do to his personality. I'm blessed enough to be able to homeschool him, but that's not an option for most people. The one year he spent in public school was a living hell for everyone involved. He learned the material but rarely did the work, couldn't control his impulses, and had very few friends because he was seen as either weird or mean (b/c of his impulses). I feel for you, and if you ever need someone to vent to, don't hesitate to call me. Love ya, and miss you all. This is something that always angers me too.
