So I haven’t been that great about keeping up with my blogs and I am truly sorry. For those of you who don’t know for the past month or so I have been preparing for and moving into a new apartment. I am still working on organizing our new place but the MOVE part is done. I once again have a stable Internet connection and aside from getting Quinlyn and Kevyn ready for school things are settling down. So I predict that within the next week or so I will be able to pick up where I left off on my “In Defense” food blogs.
On other news for some strange reason I made the decision that the day before we loaded our things into a Uhaul to bring to the new place would be the perfect time for me to tell Kevyn and Caelyn that enough was enough, no more pull-ups. I know, what would possess me to do that? Well, it had to do with a lack of funds and the desire to never have to clean a shitty butt again. The strange thing is, it stuck this time. They didn’t give me any crap, pun intended, about it. No “I don’t wanna”s, nothing. They actually gave it their best efforts and as of today we have been without pull-ups for a full week and had only a few accidents in between. Kevyn is most excited because now that he is a “big boy” he can go to school and have a Transformers lunch box. If I had known that all it would take is the promise of a character lunch box, I would have done that a year ago. OH well, I’m just glad that that chapter in our lives are over. And with this chapter closed we will be saving around $100 a month on pull-ups…. ROCK ON!
I know, this is normally not my style, talking about my kids potty training but sadly because my life has revolved around packing, moving and cleaning for the past month this is the most exciting thing that has happened. So now that you all see just how sad that is…. some one rescue me. I need a brunch or a movie or even just meet for coffee… something! And on that note it is time for me to go. Hopefully the next time I blog it will be something a little more informative.
